Children's Weekday Ministries

The First Baptist Church Children’s Weekday Ministry Play Day Pals and Pre-K Day School Programs provide a wonderful opportunity for parents of young children to become acquainted and learn with other children in a Christian environment. This is an exciting ministry for our church and our community! We will grow, learn, and develop because of our experiences as a school family. The First Baptist Church Play Day Pals Program has developed a ministry to address the needs of parents with 1, 2, and 3- year-old children. Play Day Pals is more than just playtime, but not a preschool. Participating children are exposed to Bible stories, music, organized play, story time, crafts, games, special events, and much, much more. An extended session program from 12:00-4:00 is offered to children in the 3-year-old class depending upon availability.

Pre-K Day School

The First Baptist Church Pre-K Day School is an academically structured, non-denominational school for students in four-year-old kindergarten. First Baptist Day School has adopted as its mission the following statement:

+To provide quality education in a safe environment

+To build character by emphasizing self-discipline, cooperation, and achievement

+To encourage leadership and to guide students toward responsible stewardship and citizenship

+To advocate appreciation for diversity and to nurture kindness to humanity, and

+To inspire loyalty to student’s classmates, their school, their community, their church and their Lord Jesus Christ.

 

Students in the Pre-K Day School are involved in a developmentally appropriate academic program to prepare them for kindergarten in a variety of schools. We also enjoy many field trips to explore the world beyond our school doors!

 

School Hours

8:00-11:30

Extended Session 11:30-4:00

 

The Play Day Pals and Pre-K Day School Programs voluntarily comply with the recommendations of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools on teacher/student ratio, class set up, and parent/staff issues.  We also follow the practices suggested by the National Association of Colleges and Schools in its standard guide Statement of Good Practice.

Tuition Fees

1 year old class  -- $40/month

2 year old class  -- $80/month

3 year old class  -- $120/month                    

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Extended Session -- $120 

 Pre K class  -- $200/month                          

Monday-Friday Extended Session -- $180  Extended Session -- $13/day

  Extended session prices will remain the same. The cost per day will be $10 for students enrolled in all possible extended session days for each class and $13 for students enrolled on specific days of the week.
